We are deeply saddened by the sudden and tragic loss of Aubrey K. McClendon.

Mr. McClendon played a leading role in bringing cleaner, more abundant energy and millions of jobs to North America. His dream was to do the same throughout the world. He is respected and admired by those who knew him for his vision, leadership, and courage.

He will be dearly missed. We extend our condolences to his family, friends, colleagues and the good people of Oklahoma.

Energy Veteran Mike Stice Joins EIM Team To Build Out Mexico's Infrastructure

Mexico's EIM Capital said Oct. 29 it has appointed J. Mike Stice to its board of advisers.

Stice is the former CEO of Access Midstream Partners LP, which was acquired by Williams Partners LP (NYSE: WPZ) in February 2015. Prior to that he served as president and COO of Chesapeake Midstream Development LP, and as senior vice president of natural gas projects of Chesapeake Energy Corp. (NYSE: CHK).

AELP, EIM Capital Form Partnership For Mexico’s Unconventional Resources

Mexico's EIM Capital and an affiliate American Energy Partners LP (AELP) announced on Sept. 1 a new, long-term partnership to explore and develop Mexico’s unconventional oil and natural gas reserves.

When certain conditions are completed, AELP will invest in EIM Capital, a private-equity fund, to jointly pursue investments in Mexico's energy industry and explore unconventional oil and gas development.

The chief executive of American Energy, a venture that acquires and develops oil and natural-gas properties, wrote an email Tuesday to his staff announcing four transactions involving three separate sellers. The deals cover a total of 55 million acres of oil and natural-gas properties in northern Australia’s McArthur Basin.
